Donetsk-Lugansk road - will this happen?

Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine will give the control over the quality of the roads to western companies, the Minister of Infrastructure Boris Kolesnikov informed the public in London. "We are already holding discussions with French and German companies about the roads quality control. According to the Minister, the Ministry is the developer of this strategy where foreign companies can be hired to do this kind of work, with all proper tenders in place. "UkrAutoDor" temporarily will only exploit the auto roads and conduct all necessary repairs, whereas independent inspection will inspect", noted Kolesnikov. We shall remind that in November, Kolesnikov said that there are normal roads in Ukraine. Vice-Premier at the time, noted that the construction will continue even after the championship. In the near future there are plans to built autobahns. "For next year we have several new roads planned, including the road of the first category - Donetsk-Lugansk, as well as complete modernisation of Donetsk-Mariupol road, built in 1969. As per the Minister's words, for Euro 2012, Warsaw-Kyiv and Kyiv-Chop roads will be in good condition. In order to provide quality transit through road through Russian border, the Infrastructure Ministry is starting to plan a completely new highway Kyiv-Dnipropetrovsk, through Kaniv-Cherkasy-Dneprodzherzhynsk-Dnipropetrovsk, entering Dontesk region through Donetsk to Rostov. Road connecting Dunaj region with Kaspiy port is planned to be built. A very important centre for Ukraine - Odesa-Kherson-Mykolaiv, that lies on the shores of Black and Azov seas, leading to Berdyanks and Maryupil in Taganrog region will cross the Russian border. Another object that will be renovated is Moskow-Simferopil road. Despite of the tourism load, this road is of a very important destination, said Kolesnikov.
